Parenting Time Supervision

Pivot provides supervision services in a controlled setting in connection with court-ordered parenting time. Contact will occur in compliance with legal expectations and Pivot’s protocols. Through structured supervision and objective documentation, Pivot supports the integrity of the judicial process, and promotes appropriate interactions. In-person visits at Pivot are scheduled for 2 hours on weekdays from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. - 8:15 p.m., and for 3 hours on weekends on Saturdays or Sundays from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. / 12:15 p.m. - 3:15 p.m. / 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Co-Parenting Class

The Fundamentals of Co-Parenting is a parenting class that is offered in-person on Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Pivot location in downtown Plainfield. The 4-hour class focuses on co-parenting skills and strategies aimed to help families improve communication, avoid conflict, and increase cooperation. Participants will receive confirmation of completion after instruction and evaluation. Registration rates are below.

Anger Management Class

Pivot's Anger Management class is offered in-person at the Pivot office location in downtown Plainfield. This 8-hour class will take place in two sessions, on the 2nd and 3rd Mondays of each month from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Participants will identify and address problematic patterns and behaviors that impact important relationships. Participants will receive confirmation of completion after instruction and evaluation. Registration fees are below.

High-Conflict Parenting Class

Pivot’s High-Conflict class will focus on the particular dynamics of parenting dynamics that may be hostile, stressful, and unproductive. Instruction is offered in-person at the Pivot office location in downtown Plainfield. This 8-hour class will examine the skills and strategies presented in the 4-hour Fundamentals of Co-Parenting class, but also includes detailed discussion and consideration of complex issues that characterize high-conflict cases. Registrants should enroll in the regular co-parenting class on the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Monday of the month for the first 4 hours of the class requirement, and then also enroll in the High-Conflict class offered on the 4th Monday of each month for the remaining 4 hours to complete the High-Conflict class credits. Participants will receive confirmation of completion after instruction and evaluation. Rates below.

Individualized Instruction & Coaching

• Observation + Feedback*: While Pivot offers traditional parenting supervision in an unbiased setting, it also offers an option for monitored parenting time supported by an education component, that is designed to provide constructive feedback based on observations, or other information provided to Pivot for consideration. If this structure is court-ordered, feedback will be provided at the conclusion of each supervised parenting time session, and notated on the standard session report.

• Custom Court Referral*: Pivot also offers parenting education as a stand-alone option at the Court’s discretion, in cases where input would be instructive, even if supervision is not required. In these cases, a Court may refer one or both parties to Pivot to explore issues such as communication, co-parenting, maintaining effective connections, and other special circumstances.

• Private Guidance*: Additionally, private parenting education services (without a court order), are available upon request for families who are independently interested in focusing on certain areas of impact specific to their circumstances, or discussing issues of importance that affect their family dynamic, on an as-needed basis.
